I guess it doesn’t matter how positive a person is thinking, if the fruit isn’t there, there’s not much a person can do about it. Unfortunately, our haskaps have been disappearing even faster than I expected and so there won’t be anything much to speak of for the remainder of the weekend. People are still welcome to come out and enjoy the fresh country air and the open spaces we have out here, but if you’re hoping to fill up your buckets with fruit, I hope you will have success elsewhere. Our saskatoons are also not producing, and we might only have a weekend or so for picking them as well.
Our hours for this weekend will be Sat. Jul 16 from 9 am – 4 pm, and Sunday July 17 from 10 am -4 pm.
It’s disappointing for us, but I guess we’ll just have to reminisce on the amazing saskatoon harvest from last year and know that another year will look different.
