The grass is green and growing, and our saskatoons have been happily taking in the rain we’ve had in the last little while and are rewarding us with the first blossoms of the year.
This time of year is always so exciting to me as I spend time getting things ready for our u-pick season, hoping and praying that it will be great. While our u-pick opening has covered a large range of dates, it seems like our first pickings generally tend to be the last week of July and end around the second week of August. We’ll be sure to let you know when we’re closer to that time.
In the meantime, I’ll keep mowing, weeding and attending to the myriad tasks around the farm. See you this summer!
